Wake Up

The Hindus called the cow a mother and tied her to a pole,

In her torment, each of us every day plays a role.

“Thou shalt not kill” preached Christ, yet eating beef is fine,

The killer can be baptized again so long as the killed is not your kind or mine.

Allah is described as “The Gracious, the Merciful”,

But we are not Allah, so first let us eat till our full.

“He who harms animals has not understood or renounced deeds of sin...” Mahavir had taught,

But if we can get away with anything on earth, maybe we need not fear getting caught.

Buddha said, “Life is dear to all beings, they have the right to live the same that we do.”

But other animal or human, choose who.

As The Waves Sway

The pieces of the structure I had built such tenderly fall apart

A brick falls down, sometimes a volley of dust

The sharp instruments that had once cut through flawlessly

Now stand rusted and useless

Forgotten Forsaken

An old forgotten room, locked and latched for years innumerable,

Suddenly entices its owner…

Driven by its mystique, the antiquated lock is brutally torn down,

The portals are lobbed open and here’s the threshold to a new universe…

Tell me a story where I won’t see him

Invading memories like the sand which fills the hourglass to the brim

Chapter 7-Defection

You could many a times feel a presence nagging at the rear of your psyche couldn’t you? Many of us term this as instinct, co-incidence, chance, luck, fate…so many names. But this psyche was not one you would chance upon every other day. Honed by one of the greatest psychics in the vicinity, co-incidence, instinct, luck, fate or whatever other rubbish meant little here. Everything did have a reason, a valid reason at that; if anything was without reason, it was just that the reason is too subtle to be noticed. But does the dismissing of the sun diminish its luminescence?
